Jewell Stockton, 95 of Corinth, MS passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Jacinto, MS on December 8, 1924 to the late George Washington and Mattie Ethel Reynolds Sims. Jewell was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and will forever be remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. A private family service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 officiated by Bro. Dennis Smith. A eulogy will be given by Vannie Holland. Magnolia Funeral Home – South Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements. Interment will be in Magnolia Gardens. Pallbearers include Wesley Stockton, Kevin Stockton, Jeffrey Stockton, Taylor Rowland, LCDR Bradley Shillito, and Eddie Henry. Those left to honor Jewell’s memory include her son, Rick R. Stockton and wife Ginger of Corinth; her grandchildren, Sara Beth Rowland (Taylor), Wesley A. Stockton (Laurie), Emily Ann Shillito (LCDR Bradley), Kevin M. Stockton, and Jeffrey T. Stockton and their mother Carol; her great-grandchildren, Harrison Green, Morgan Rowland, Kennedy Rowland, Sims Stockton, Seay Stockton, Harper Shillito, and Andrew Shillito; her caregivers, Vannie Holland, Mavis Easley, Jackie Burt, and Julia Gilliland; other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Truitt Stockton; her son, Terry E. Stockton; her daughter, V. Donna Stockton; her brothers, Reynolds Sims, Arlin Sims, and J.E. Sims; her sisters, Clarice Sims, Esther Gattis, and Irene Smith.
