LIMESTONE COUNTY-Limestone County Commission Chairman Collin Daly and Athens Mayor Ronnie Marks proclaimed October 19 through October 23, 2020, as CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WEEK in Limestone County. PROCLAMATION

 

WHEREAS, the Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce works with the businesses, merchants, and industry to advance the civic, economic, industrial, professional, and cultural life of Limestone County in the City of Athens, Alabama and

 

WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has contributed to the civic and economic life of Limestone County for 58 years since the founding of the Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce in Athens, Alabama; and

 

WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce and its members provide citizens with a strong business environment that increases employment, the retail trade and commerce, and industrial growth in order to make Limestone County and the City of Athens a better place to live, and 

 

WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce encourages the growth of existing industries, services, and commercial firms and encourages new firms and individuals to locate in Limestone County and

 

WHEREAS, this year marks the 58th anniversary of the Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce, a professional membership organization that promotes and protects the interest of our local business community,

 

Therefore I, Chairman Collin Daly of the Limestone County Commission and Ronnie Marks, Mayor of the City of Athens, proclaim October 19 through October 23, 2020, as CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WEEK in Limestone County and call its significance to the citizens of Limestone County and the City of Athens.

 

Whereunto, we have set our hands and caused the seal of Limestone County and the City of Athens to be affixed.
