Mary Frances Cunningham Mary Frances Cunningham, 83, of Memphis, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at AHC Healthcare in Selmer.

She was born September 25, 1937 in Toone, daughter of the late John Dandy Vales and Mary Forsythe Vales and lived in Memphis for over 50 years prior to moving back to this area about 5 years ago. She was a homemaker and also managed and worked at a pancake house in Memphis. She enjoyed reading and being around her family, especially her granddaughter, whom she especially loved. Mrs. Cunningham was Baptist in faith.

Survivors include two sons, James W. King of Murfreesboro and Jerry Lynn King (Carol) of Nashville; a sister, Bonnie Dunston of Horton, AL; a brother, Johnny Vales of Henderson; her granddaughter, Katie Harlan of Arkansas; and two great grandchildren, Quinn and Kingston Harlan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd Darrell King and Michael Glenn King; and three brothers, Bill, Lawrence and Ricky Vales. Memorial donations in her name may be sent to the James D. King Scholarship Fund at the Tennessee Board of Regents, Nashville, TN.

While visiting or attending services for Mrs. Cunningham, please consider the following guidelines:
* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
