Mr. Pascal "Pat" GaddisMr. Pascal “Pat” Gaddis of Arab, Alabama, the New Harmony Community; passed away on the morning of Thursday – October 15, 2020 at the astounding age of 100 years.
Mr. Gaddis was born on July 10, 1920 in Cullman County, Alabama to the late Loyd Elton Gaddis and Mattie Etta Shedd Gaddis. Mr. Gaddis spent his earlier years balancing his employment as a poultry and cattle farmer as well as heavy equipment operator within the construction industry later retiring to enjoy life to the fullest. He was strong in his faith and was a well respected member and deacon at the New Home Baptist Church in Holly Pond, Alabama.
Mr. Gaddis will be forever remembered by his son, Gerald E. Gaddis; daughters, Ounita G. Wilks, Eulaylon G, Hadley and Sharlene G. Bentley (Billy); sister, Ilene Sears; grandchildren, Dale Gaddis (Shannon), Regenia Williamson (Michael), William R. “Bill” Wilks II (Stacy), Melanie Cox (Eric), Scott Hadley (Lynn), Jennifer Hays (Randy) and Kevin Gaddis.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gaddis is at last reunited with his one true love, Florene Blakely Gaddis; son, LaWayne Gaddis; brother, Cleadus Gaddis; sister, Verna Mae Kelsoe; sons-in-law, William R. “Bill” Wilks and Ronnie Hadley; and daughter-in-law, Katherine Gaddis.
A Visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel in the evening of Saturday – October 17, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services for “Pat” will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel in the early afternoon of Sunday – October 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Milford Hays, Bro. Arthur Feemster and Bro. Bobby Murphree, officiating.
Interment will follow services immediately at the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Holly Pond, Alabama
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Gaddis to his final resting place will include: Dale Gaddis, William R. “Bill” Wilks II, Scott Hadley, Kevin Gaddis, Eric Cox and Randy Hays.
Honorary Pallbearers will include: Jack Hamilton, Ron Hunt, Bud Blakely and Ferris Kelsoe.
