Talmadge Webster Robertson, 95, passed away at Tishomingo Community Living Center on Thursday, October 15, 2020. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II in the 6th division and was awarded two Purple Hearts for action in Guam and Okinawa. He was married to Dorothy Sanders Robertson, who preceded him in death on October 5, 2004. He was a graduate of Iuka High School and Mississippi State College. Following graduation he taught school in Vardaman for one year and then went to work as a Civil Engineer for TVA for 33 years. He retired in 1985 and moved back to Iuka in 1988. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the American Legion, and an active member of the Iuka First Methodist Church. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Services will be held at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 3pm, with Rev. Harrell Moore officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1pm until 3pm at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. He is survived by five nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents, F.C. Doc and Bulah Murphy Robertson; two brothers, Vardaman and Bradly Robertson; and two sisters, Mavis Smith and a baby sister. Honorary pallbearers will be the Iuka Methodist Church Men’s Sunday School Class. Memorials may be made to the Iuka United Methodist Church, the Iuka Public Library, or to Patrick Cemetery Fund
