Dwight “Paw” Nichols

Dwight “Paw” Nichols, 75, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County, AL and worked at NTN Bower as a machinist for thirty-three years. Dwight was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Vina Church of Christ.

Services will be Saturday, October 17, 3 p.m. at Single Springs Cemetery, Vina, AL with Bro. John Oliver and Kenny Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Single Springs Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years – Betty “Maw” Nichols; four children – Shane Nichols (Michele), Tyrel Nichols (Deanna), Krisenda Barretta (Pete) and Teleia Stewart (James); grandchildren – Tyler “Tank” (Rachel), Shantell (BJ), Kaleb, Kolby, Casey, Logan (Destiny), Matt Matt (Hunter), Jamie (Sage), Savannah and Tanner; great-grandchildren– Sophia, Bentlee, Luca, Casen, Chloe, Nellee Jo and Laker; one sister – Judy Pearl Clemmons (Frank); brother-in-law – Ralph “RoRo” Duren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oran and Prue Nichols and a sister, Sarah Duren.

Pallbearers will be Tank Nichols, Kaleb Black, Kolby Black, Tanner Nichols, Keith Duren, Robert Timmons and Rodney Timmons.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2-3 p.m. at Single Springs Cemetery, Vina, AL.
