One Person Dead After Industrial Fire In Florence

FLORENCE-On Wednesday afternoon a fire was reported at Right Solutions located on Northington Court in the Florence Industrial Park.

One person has died as a result of this fire, the victim has been identified as Justin Ross, 34 of Florence. According to The Florence Fire Department the probable cause of death is smoke inhalation.  Fire Chief Perkins says there will be an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Florence fire crews fought the blaze throughout the night and into the morning hours.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Message from the Mayor of Florence:

“Tonight our prayers are with the owners and employees of Right Solutions in the Industrial Park. It is a devastating fire which at midnight continues to be active. We are saddened by the loss of a life. We are grateful for our amazing Florence firefighters. I watched them hard at work in a very dangerous situation and going at it with all their strength. Thanks also for assistance from Underwood/Petersville, St. Florian, and Zip City Fire departments, the Florence Police Department, Shoals Ambulance, and EMA.
