Funeral services for Ms. Lorene Blankenship, age 94, are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, October 16, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Darden Cemetery. Ms. Blankenship passed away late Monday at her home in Lexington. She was born October 1, 1926 in Henderson County to the late Johnny Bell and Elizabeth Ann Tyler Reeves. She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Ms. Blankenship loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Wayne Blankenship; one granddaughter, Melanie Small; and five brothers, Elco, Covie, Fred, Roy, and Jay Reeves. Survivors include her three daughters, Debbie Patterson (Keith), Regina Maness (J.C.), and Wanda Small (Robin); two brothers, Ernest and Ray Reeves; sister, Kay Piletere; nine grandchildren, Tara Wiseman (John), Donna Coleman, Daniel Blankenship, Jeremy Calhoun (Becky), Starla Cupples (Kevin), Lance Azbill (Amber), Ethan Small, Landon Maness, and Gavin Maness; and thirteen great grandchildren, Brenna Reeves, Luke Wiseman, Mason Coleman, Emily and Emma Blankenship, Gunner and Gannon Calhoun, Aiden and Briley Cupples, Jax, Jace, Jager, and Jance Azbill. The family requests all visitors observe social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.
