Charles Wayne "CJ" Wilkinson IIICharles Wayne Wilkinson III, also known as CJ, age 23, of Brilliant, Alabama passed away October 08, 2020. He was born in Mississippi on Sunday, September 21, 1997 to Charles Wayne Wilkinson Jr. and April Lynn Chaffin.

CJ was an all around athlete who played baseball and football. He was an accomplished musician and very artistic in his drawings. He entered his drawings in the 2013 Fourth Congressional District Art Competition and was number two in the State. CJ graduated from Brilliant High School in 2016, and he then went to Bevel State Community College to get his certificate in welding. After college he became a Boilermaker Welder at Millers in Jefferson County.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will began at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Marion County Funeral Home and the family will receive friend from 11:30- 2 p.m. The burial will be at Brock Cemetery in Brilliant.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wayne Wilkinson Jr.; grandparents, Ken and Mary Hulon; uncle, Rickey Wilkinson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, April (Cary) Chaffin; sister, Mariah (John) Carlson; brother, Caleb (Rachel) Chaffin; grandmother, Barbara Wilkinson; grandfather, Wayne (Tammy) Wilkinson; niece and nephew Lynnlee and Corbin Chaffin; uncles, Dewayne and Shane Wilkinson, Kenneth Hulon, Zack Clark; aunt Julie (Jerome) Miller; cousins, Chris, Eric (Savannah) Hulon; Haley (Anthony) and Aly Wilkinson, Macy (Tyler) Riley; and a host other relative and friends.
