DECATUR-The Morgan County-Decatur Farmers Market will help Decatur and surrounding communities gear up for the holidays next month with the return of the annual Christmas Market. Set for Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, the Farmers Market will transform into a festive holiday marketplace with local artisans selling handcrafted jewelry, crafts, candles and more along with fresh produce and treats.

Now in its third year, the Christmas Market will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Festivalgoers may shop from over 30 tables filled by local vendors with jams and jellies, candies, baked goods, local artwork, pastured-raised meats, ornaments, Christmas décor and much more. This family event is free and a great way to kick off the holiday season. In addition to the specialty items, attendees can sip on hot chocolate and shop for seasonal produce.

For the safety and well-being of guests and vendors, event organizers will be implementing COVID-19 precautionary measures. These include designated walking aisles to encourage social distancing, vendors and guests will be required to wear masks or face coverings and guests are asked to practice social distancing and keeping a distance of six feet from anyone not in your immediate family.

The Morgan County-Decatur Farmers Market is located at 211 1st Avenue SE in downtown Decatur. For more information on the Christmas Market, call Morgan County-Decatur Farmers Market Manager Elizabeth Thompson at 256-476-5595.
