Jeff Davis “J.D.” Dickerson

Jeff Davis “J.D.” Dickerson, 82 of Arley, entered into rest on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home.

J.D. was born on January 24, 1938. He attended Meek High School. He served six years in the United States Army. J.D.’s passion was drag racing and flying his planes. He loved working with Tim on the farm and tending his honey bees with Cade. J.D. was a good friend who could be found having his coffee with “the boys” in the mornings.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Logan. Wayne Womack and Rev. Bobby Smith will officiate.

J.D. is survived by his daughter, Dee Dee Cooper and her husband Tim; grandsons, Cade Cooper and Chaz Cooper; brother, Ershel Dickerson and his wife Doris; sisters, Roann Frazier, and Judy Key and her husband C.V.; sister in law, Jewell Dickerson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, friends, and his special dog, “Saban”.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Dickerson; parents, Lee and Lecie Dickerson; and brother, Harrell Dickerson.
