Lura Dee Hughes Johnson, 86 of Harvest, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital. Mrs. Johnson was born April 28, 1934 to Melvin Smith Hughes and Annie Elizabeth Dean.
Graveside service for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Joel Carwile officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Johnson loved flowers, plants and playing the piano. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Clarence F. Johnson, Jr.; brothers, Julian Hughes (Paulette), Jerry Hughes and Mahlon Hughes (Betty).
Preceded in death by her parents and her 1st husband, Osteen Hillis.
