Otis Ray George, 69, died Thursday, October 8, 2020 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. He was born December 14, 1950 in Red Bay, AL to James Oscar and Clara Jane George. Otis worked for Mueller Brass for forty-four years and four months before retiring. He was always a happy person and enjoyed gatherings of his family and also his wife, Myra’s family. He was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church. Otis will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Services will be Sunday, October 11, 5 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church, Golden, MS with Bro. Ralph Culp and Bro. Matthew Fancher officiating. Burial will be in Belmont Memory Gardens, Belmont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years – Myra Kay Smith George; three children – Michael George (Margaret), Susan Johnson (Steven), Tia Strickland (Jason); special children – Vicky Self and Yvonne Sharp; one brother – Gordon George (Nora Ann), two sisters – Margaret Pardue (Tommy) and Shelia Bolton (Billy); two granddaughters – MaKena George and Callie Johnson; brother-in-law – J.D. Smith and sister-in-law – Sherry Enlow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Vester, Edward and Riley George and two sisters, Martha Barnes and Vera Nell Page.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers – Scot George, Anthony George, Ricky Page, Oscar Barnes, Ben George, Anthony Timbs and T.J. Bolton. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Motorcycle Association.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2-5 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church.
