Mrs. Mary Helen WhisenantMrs. Mary Helen Whisenant of Union Grove, the Brocks Chapel Community; passed away in the early hours of Tuesday – October 6, 2020 at the age of 65 years.
Mrs. Whisenant was born in Cullman County, Alabama on August 31, 1955 to Chelcey Clinton Arrington and Eunice Lillian Sims Arrington. Mrs. Whisenant completed her high school career and continued her education pursuing a career as a teacher’s aid and bus driver for the Morgan County School District; she later retired her position to focus on the hobbies she so very much enjoyed to partake in. Some of her hobbies included; attending her church, traveling, spending time with her friends, staying home and doing things around the house and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Whisenant was a member of the Mt. Taber Baptist Church.
Mrs. Whisenant will be forever remembered by her beloved husband of 43 years, McKinley Wayne Whisenant; daughter, Shree Morgan (Brandon); brothers, Tony Arrington (Kim), Glenn Arrington (Charolette) and J.C. Arrington (Carla); sisters, Hazel Culp, Gladys Carr and June Bailey (Ben); grandchildren, Catherine Elizabeth Morgan and McKinley David Morgan.
In addition to her parents, Chelcey Clinton Arrington and Eunice Lillian Sims Arrington; Mrs. Whisenant is at last reunited with 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
A Visitation will take place at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City on Thursday – October 8, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will take place at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City on Friday – October 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Jason Bomar and Jason Vinvson, officiating.
Interment will follow services immediately at the Union Grove Cemetery in Morgan City, Alabama.
Pallbearers escorting Mrs. Whisenant to her final resting place will include; Brandon Morgan, Gene Rainer, Greg Gullion, T.J. Pritchett, Troy Pritchett and David Feemster
Honorary Pallbearers will include; Ben Bailey, Dylan Bomar and Tom Little
Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel & Brindlee Mountain Chapel Directing.
