Two Muscle Shoals Schools Go To virtual Learning for a Week Due To COVID-19

MUSCLE SHOALS-On Thursday, October 8 the Muscle Shoals School system announced two of their schools will go to virtual learning for one week due to several of their students testing positive for COVID-19.

On October 8 five person associated with the Muscle Shoals Middle School football team tested positive for COVID.  Authorities with the school system say four more people are showing symptoms of COVID-19 and are awaiting test results.  This outbreak affects both middle school and high school coaches.

Both schools, Muscle Shoals Middle School and Muscle Shoals High School will be operating with remote learning from October 13 through October 16.

School Officials are hoping to extend fall break and remote learning days to allow a 10 day time frame for students to be away from the schools to allow for a through clean-up of the facilities.

Anyone who was directly exposed to anyone who tested positive have been notified and those who were tested positive have already started isolation at home.
