Funeral services for Mrs. Marie B. Wood, age 90, are scheduled for 11 AM, Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Center Hill Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Wood passed away on Monday in Lexington. She was born December 30, 1929 in Henderson County to the late Roy and Bertha Waddle Beecham. She was a homemaker and loved working in the yard and having a garden. She was a member of Fellowship Church of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Glayton W. Wood; two sons, Darryl and Kenneth; and two sisters, Mildred Brittain and Onell McBride. Survivors include her two sons, Gaylon Wood (Shonda) and Royce Wood (Sheena); her brother, Dennis Beecham; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
