Edith Carrie Mae Pierce, 93 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Edith was born on May 21, 1927 in Cullman County.  She was a long time member of Double Springs Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 1-3pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be at 3pm. Vance Hutton will officiate. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Double Springs.

Edith is survived by her daughters, Noma Dempsey, and Rose Mary (James) Lewis; brother, Quenon Hallmark; grandchildren, Shannon Dempsey, Kristy (James) Dempsey, Stella (Ron) Alexander, Belinda (B.J.) New, Scotty (Misty) Dempsey, and Jammie (Amy) Lewis; 14 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Pierce; parents, Thomas and Eula Hallmark; brothers, Conrad, Hubert, Bobby and Billy Hallmark; sisters, Florence Martin, and Dalphine Pierce; and son-in-law, Jerry Dempsey.
