Jason Esteve, of Harvest, Alabama, died peacefully Sept. 30 after courageously facing cancer. He was a devoted husband, father, and son.
Born in Massachusetts, he attended Northview High School in Dothan, Alabama, where he played trumpet and was drum major of his high school marching band.

Jason had three great loves in life — his wife Kristen, the Knights of Columbus, and the Florida
State University Marching Chiefs. (Go Noles!) The handsome Kappa Kappa Psi member and
trumpet player’s life was forever changed when he met a pretty clarinetist from the Florida Keys
— and they lived happily ever after. The band geeks moved to Huntsville in February 1995 and
married May 20, 1995. They welcomed their daughters Arianne and Alexandra, and their family
was complete.
A software engineer serving the Department of Defense, Jason finished his career working for
Teledyne Brown Engineering. A devout Catholic, he joined the Knights of Columbus Council
10232 in 1996, and devoted his life to making a difference in the lives of Catholic families across
Alabama and the nation by serving in a variety of leadership roles. A 4th Degree Knight, he
reached the pinnacle of his fraternal service when he served as the Alabama State Deputy of
the Knights of Columbus from 2018-2020. He not only believed in the precepts of the Knights,
but lived a life of faith in action rooted in charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
He is survived by his wife, Kristen, daughters Arianne and Alexandra, and his parents, Ted and
Mary Jane, all of Harvest.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Intellectuals with
Disabilities Fund or Bishop’s Fund, care of the St. John the Baptist Knights of Columbus Council
#10232, 1055 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church in Madison. The funeral Mass will be livestreamed on the parish Facebook
page. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m., also at St. John’s. Guests are asked to
please wear a mask.
