Willard Wayne Parrish, Sr., 77, of Carbon Hill, Alabama, formerly of Jasper, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Hendrix Health and Rehab.
He was born June 27, 1943 in Lawrence County, Alabama.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 12pm-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where the service will begin at 2pm. Derrick Parrish will officiate. Burial will follow in Double Springs Memorial Cemetery.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Johnnie Parrish; son, John “Joey” Parrish and his wife, Linda; daughter, Tammy Parrish and Rhonda Parrish Burton and her husband, Roger; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Junior Parrish, Jimmy Parrish, Roger Parrish and Gabriel Parrish; sister, Sue Elliott; brother-in-law, Gary Wayne Robertson and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Odie and Lillian Parrish; son, Willard Wayne “Boob” Parrish, Jr.; grandson, John Joseph “Joe Bob” Parrish, Jr.; sister, Betty Lou Waldrop and brother, Bobby Parrish.
