On Monday, September 28, 2020, Carol Burnthorne Hicks, 69, peacefully passed unto the presence of the Lord with her family by her side. She was a native of Amite, Louisiana and a resident of Loretto, Tennessee. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Loretto and served selflessly as a member of The Kentucky Disaster Relief Team. She was a loving, nurturing wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bobby Hicks of Loretto, TN; one daughter, Candy Clayton (Thomas G.) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Leroy Jones Jr. (Fiancé, Jo Magee) of Loranger, LA; four step-children; Karen Moore (Chris) of Hogansville, GA; Jason Hicks of Austin, TX; John R. Hicks (April) of Briceville, TN; Alison Young (Lance) of Schertz, TX; twelve grandchildren; Kerra Sharp (Jesse), Brooke Pravata (Chance), Kelsey Jones, Trent Jones, Caleb Shermer, Jake Shermer, Jax Hicks, Beck Hicks, Harper Hicks, Elizabeth Young, William Young, Max Youngfour great-grandchildren; Jayleigh, Jolie, Addison, and Oakleigh; one sister, Richlyn Clark (Kenneth) of Amite, LA; one brother, Jim Burnthorne (Mary) of Covington, LA.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; Richard and Edna Burnthorne, two brothers; Bryan & Donald Burnthorne, one sister Evelyn Burnthorne. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 9/30/2020 at 11:00 AM at Loretto Memorial Chapel with Mahlon Fisher and Donnie Tyson officiating with burial to follow in Loretto Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 9/29/20, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm  at Loretto Memorial Chapel.
