Nellie Armor McCulloch

Visitation for Nellie Armor McCulloch will be on Tuesday, September 29 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Elliott Funeral Home with burial at Moulton Memory Gardens.  O. D. Bowling and Brad McNutt officiating.

Nellie was born February 8, 1923 in Mt. Hope to Harvey Chapman Armor and Lucy Mae Burch Armor.

Nellie Armor McCulloch peacefully died at home on September 27, 2020.  Her ancestors were some of the earliest settlers of Lawrence County before Alabama was a state. She lived for a few years in Plainview Texas.  After her dad died, she moved back to Moulton.  She graduated from Lawrence County High School and attended business college in Birmingham.  She worked for the Aubrn Extension Service in Moulton before marrying Tom McCulloch.  She was a wonderful homemaker and a long time member of the Moulton Church of Christ.  She was a member to the Literary Corner Club and the Moulton Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas McCullock, Jr, ,  brother, Herbert Cecil Armor, and sister, Elizabeth Parker Adair.

She is survived by her children: Linda Nell McCulloch, Dr. Harvey McCulloch (Cathy) and Marie McCulloch Mitchell. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Mitchell Smith (Bob Frank), Thomas Blake Mitchell (Irene), Mary McCulloch Crocker (Randy), Thomas Luke McCulloch (Erin) and Margaret Elizabeth McCulloch.  Great Grandchildren are: Robert Smith, Sally Frances Smith, Margaret Mitchell, Blake Mitchell Jr., William Mitchell, Emily Crocker, Hayley Crocker and Ethan Thomas McCulloch.
