A Celebration of Life service for Margaret Olene Ross, 93 of Corinth, MS, will be Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Henry Cemetery. Minister Hascal Sparks will officiate the service. Visitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Monday, September 28, 2020 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home-East. Mrs. Ross passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at her residence. She was born July 31, 1927 in Tiplersville, MS to Kim Rowland and Florence Ayers Rowland. She was a lifelong member of Harper Road Christian Church. She is now a member of Cross Way Christian Church. Olene is survived by her sons, David Smith (Danette) of Stafford, VA, Rickey Smith (Laura) of Corinth, MS and Lamar Smith (Connie) of Corinth, MS; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Howard Wilson Smith; her 2nd husband, Howard Ross; her daughter, Patricia Copeland (Sammy); her grandson, Christopher Smith; her father, Kim Rowland; her mother, Florence Ayers Rowland; her brothers, Dementra Rowland and S.D. “Sully” Ayers and her sister, Lougene Woods Stanfield. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Cross Way Christian Church, 3129 Kendrick Road, Corinth, MS 38834 or Shriners Children’s Hospital. Honorary pallbearers will be Orville King, David Price, Jerry Woods, David Strickland, Buddy Ayers, Jim Stapleton and Mickey Jones.
