Mr. James Gordon Brand, age 87, of the Whiton Community, died on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at Diversacare of Boaz.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Two o’clock p.m. in the Forest Crest Cemetery, Birmingham with Dr. Keith Williams officiating. There will not be a public visitation. The family request observance of Health Department guidelines for the use of masks and social distancing.
Mr. Brand was born in Georgia on May 9, 1933 to Homer & Pansy Gordon Brand. He was a retired Construction Projects Manager. Mr. Brand is survived by his Daughters & Sons-in-law: Amy & Steve Machen and Susan & Keith Williams all of Albertville, Grandchildren: Michelle Machen (Thomas Dunagan), James Williams, Nancy & Dannelle Barnes, Robert Williams (Victoria Lewis) and Sarah Williams. Sisters: Jan Thomas of Leeds. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Esther W. Brand and his Parents: Homer & Pansy Brand and Sisters: Julia Ross, Eleanor Smith, and Francis Bond.
Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Thomas Dunagan, Dannelle Barnes, Scott Carpenter James Williams and Steve Machen.
