John Lester McGuire, 79, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Ridgeview Health Care.
The family will receive friends today, September 15, 2020, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home.
Service will follow at 7 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Kyle Gilpin will officiate. Lester was an electrician in the mines where he worked at Maxine, Segaco, and Mary Lee II.
He loved to spend his time skating, playing dominos, and doing word search puzzles. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. McGuire and Mary Lucille McGuire.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Edwards (Chris); grandchildren, Rowdy Colt Edwards and Riley Case Edwards; siblings, Margaret Taft (Milton), Jerry McGuire, Barbara England (Frank), Bobbie Willis, Kathleen Ferguson, and Ricky McGuire and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at Ridgeview Health Care for the wonderful care that Lester received over the years.
