A graveside service with military honors for David Starnes, 68 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 P M at Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Clay Hall will officiate the service. Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2020 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home-East. Mr. Starnes passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born January 21, 1952 in Corinth, MS to John Cliff Starnes and Willie Mae Lassiter Starnes. He retired as a mechanic at Gateway and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Grapel Wilbanks Starnes of Corinth, MS; his son, Daniel Glen Starnes of Corinth, MS; 4 grandchildren, Jenna Beth Starnes, Adyson Starnes, Emmalee Starnes and Cadyn Starnes; his brothers, Neal Starnes and wife Jane of Glen, MS and Leroy Starnes of Dyersburg, TN; his sisters, Willie Pearl Kirk of Corinth, MS and Elizabeth Summers of Dyersburg, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Cliff Starnes; his mother, Willie Mae Lassiter Starnes; his brother, John Wayne Starnes and his sisters, Mildred Hardin and Mary Lee Mass. Pallbearers will be Brandon Wilbanks, Aaron Holt, Chuck Landary, Phil Young and Eric Hastings. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored the serve the family of Mr. David Starnes.
