MUSCLE SHOALS – The saying goes, “If it is brought in America, it was delivered in a truck.” So much of our economy relies on the timely, professional and courteous drivers. Kelly Robinson and Robert Walker of Service One Transport truly recognize the importance of their drivers who move cargo all over the United States. And this week, trucking companies, just like Service One, are setting aside some of their time to celebrate and honor the men and women who climb into the cabs of big rigs every day and carry the goods that make our Country work.

This week, it’s been like a party at Service One, where Kelly and Robert have been taking the time to thank all of their employees for making the company successful. They were helped out by a crew of folks from one of their suppliers of vehicles, Truckworx, who brought up to the yard their big smoker and fed everybody some great steaks with all the fixin’s. We admit, that while covering this celebration, we also snuck in to time to have lunch. It was great!

According to the American Trucking Association’s website, ” Celebrated annually, NTDAW gives the trucking industry a formal opportunity to recognize and show gratitude for the importance, sacrifice and contributions made by professional truck drivers across the nation, who safely and securely transport over 70% of America’s total freight every year. More than 80% of U.S. communities rely exclusively on truck drivers to deliver their goods and products, allowing rural communities to enjoy the same modern comforts as metropolitan areas.”

Here are some EVENT PHOTOS from Wednesday’s celebration.
