Barbara Bowling Coleman  Barbara Bowling Coleman departed this life on Monday, September 14, 2020, at the age of 77 years and 12 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Fred Burton Bowling and Gladys Lucille Thurman Bowling. On May 14, 1967, she was united in marriage to Bayward Gene Coleman, who survives,

Barbara was a lifelong Hardin Countian and was employed with Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative. After 46 years of service to the company, she retired in 2018. She loved her family and friends, loved traveling with them, and loved helping others. Barbara enjoyed being outdoors and spent lots of her free time working in her yard on her flower beds. She was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as treasurer for the church; in 2019, she retired after 35 years of service.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bayward Coleman; daughter, Leigh Ann Cagle and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Whitley Cagle and Steven Cagle, all of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Bayward Creed Coleman; a brother, Fred Bernis Bowling; and a sister, Bonnie Hudson.
