Thomas Jefferson “T.J.” Wilson, 87, of the Sardis community entered into rest on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Ridgeview Health Services.

Mr. Wilson was born May 11, 1933 in Jasper, Alabama.  T.J. was a hardworking man, strict on his children, but was their best friend.  He was very kind to his grandsons and was like a second dad.  He loved to be outside, especially hunting and fishing.  He taught his daughter many life skills including carpentry, working on cars and how to cook.

No services are planned at this time.

T.J. is survived by his daughter, Faye Wilson; grandsons, Jeff Cornelius and his wife, Kelly, and Tommy Ferster and his wife, Amy; granddaughter, Melissa Wilson Stanfield and her husband, Luke, and Shanna Wilson; great grandsons, Chase and Blaze Cornelius, Nathan, William and Thomas Ferster, Christian and Xander Bonelli; great granddaughter, Serenity Poe; brothers, Gearld and Hoyt Wilson and  host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Lee Wilson and Esther Stewart Wilson; wife, Doris Marie Wilson; son, James Wilson; brother, Orvil Wilson and sister, Jack Treadway.
