Funeral service for Robert “Bob” Barto age 79 of Somerville will be Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 3:00p.m. at the Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Danny Pitts officiating with burial in the Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Barto, who was born August 3, 1941 in Preston County, West Virginia to Frank Emboy and Ica Bell Dixon Emboy, died on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at his home. He had been employed by Valley Rubber Company and the Hartselle Housing Authority. Bob was an avid reader and especially enjoyed westerns. He was a wonderful family man and attended Grace Point Church.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Louise Barto; a son, Robert Barto; a daughter, Robin Henderson; a grandson, Kyle Eastham and 2 great-grandchildren, Michael McClendon Jr and Jalynn Lowman.

 

He is survived by his wife, Carol Barto; 5 sons, Charles Stewart; Delbert Barto (Vonda); Doyne Barto (Kim); Gene Eastham (Dan) and Randall Eastham (Nikki); 5 daughters, Linda Fulmer ( Tinker); Peggy Williams (Brandon); Mindy Eastham (Kevin); April Wayne (Joe) and Laura Willy (Chuck)

31 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren

 

Skylar Hopkins, Curtis Eastham, David Campbell, Justin Powell, Zack Willis and Brandon Williams will serve as pallbearers.

 

The family would like to offer special thanks to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for their exceptional, compassionate care they provided.
