Mr. Billy Johnson, age 84, of County Road 17, Boaz, Alabama died on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at his residence.
Funeral Service for family and close friends will be held Monday, September 14, 2020, at Noon in the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed Cash officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Aroney. Visitation will be Monday afternoon from Eleven until service time at the funeral home. The family requests strict adherence to health department requirements of masks, social distancing and avoidance of handshaking and hugs.
Mr. Johnson was born in Alabama on August 22, 1936 to Joseph Otha & Pearlie C. White Johnson. He was a retired supervisor with Kroger.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his Son: Billy Johnson, Jr. (Cindy) of Indiana, Daughter: Tommie Johnson of Indiana, Granddaughters: Allison, Kaitlyn and Kirsten and 7 Great Grandchildren Step-Son: Allen Stephenson of Boaz, Step-Granddaughters: Angie and Kristy, Brothers: Clarence Johnson (Barbara), Willie Johnson ( Jeanne) all of Boaz, Sisters: Ruby Williams and Barbara Naler both of Boaz and Judy Crouson (Tom) of California and Special Friend: Chris Staten. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his Sister: Nevetta Clavenger and Brother: Jim Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Eric Johnson, Brody Edmondson, Tony Harbour, Steven Green and Randy Edmonson.
