Hazel F. Stephens, 83 of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away September 2, 2020 in Winthrop Harbor. She was born October 30, 1936 in Golden, MS to the late Frank and Ida Mink. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was a cook in Winthrop Harbor for Silver Dollar Restaurant.
A graveside service will be 11:00 am September 12, 2020 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons: Timothy Stephens of Fulton and James “Ed” Stephens of Winthrop Harbor, IL; grandchildren: Farah Stephens, Misty Stephens, Jimmy Stephens, Mike Jones, Brian Jones; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Vernel Johnson of Golden; many special nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death in 2012 by her husband Bud Stephens; parents, Frank and Ida Mink; sisters: Lorice White and Onice Daily; brothers: Arlis, George, Charles Mink.
