Edward Eugene Rooker, 77 of Athens passed away September 2, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Rooker was born in AL July 12, 1943 to George Bottoms Rooker and Delores Freeman Rooker.
He served for four years in the U.S. air force and he retired from 3M in Decatur after 34 and a half years of employment.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Kathy Elizabeth Sparkman Rooker; one son, Joshua Edward Rooker and wife Ashley Simmons Rooker; two daughters, Mandy Rooker Swann and husband Colby Mitchell Swann; and Emily Elizabeth Rooker; six grandchildren, Matthew Tyler Swann, Megan Swann Bogdan and husband Andrei, Colby Mitchell Swann II and wife Brooke, Emma, Jackson, John Edward; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Colby; four brothers, Harold Rooker and wife Yonette, Huey Rooker and wife Jane, Curtis Rooker and wife Lauren, Randy Rooker and wife Mary; one sister, Brenda Reeves; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
