Orvil “Big O” Wayne Crum

Orvil “Big O” Wayne Crum, 75, of Burnsville, MS passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. Orvil was a truck driver by trade but his dream was to open his own restaurant, which he was in the process of doing when he got sick. He also enjoyed riding around, going to horse shows, eating, and telling stories to anyone who would listen. His greatest blessing in life was his family, especially his grandchildren, who he gladly spent as much time with as he could. He is survived by his wife, Helen Crum; his daughters, Andrea Deaton (Justin) and Melissa Hall (James); his son, David Crum (Carol); his grandchildren, Jace Deaton, Jeremiah Richard Deaton, Lily Hall, and John Hall; his friends who were like brothers, Rodney Little and Reggie Little; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Dovie Glisson Crum; his brothers, Troy Crum, JB Crum, Ray Crum, Doc Crum, and Russell Crum; and two infant sisters, Janie B. Crum and Jewel Crum. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 12 Noon until 3pm at Shiloh Independent Methodist Church in Ripley, MS. Services are scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 3pm at Shiloh Independent Methodist Church, officiated by Bro. Paul Ray Hall. Burial will be in Shiloh Independent Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Hall, Danny Crum, Rodney Little, Lanny Campbell, Terry Brock, and Tracy McDuffy. Honorary pallbearer will be Reggie Little. Donations may be made in Big O’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
