ATHENS-On Saturday, August 29 Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a statement concerning a robbery on Market Street and the chief is asking the public for their help in identifying the suspect in the robbery.
On Monday, August 31, Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a statement regarding the arrest of a suspect in the robbery:
“Investigators arrested a 17 year old juvenile Friday evening for the robbery of the Fuel City on Market Street Thursday evening.
Investigators developed the juvenile as a suspect after reviewing surveillance video of the robbery. The suspect was booked at the police department and later transferred to the county jail.”
