Mr. Teddy “Ted” Lloyd Whitehorn of Arab, Alabama and the Grassy Community; passed away in the early hours of Friday – August 28, 2020 at his residence at the age of 77 years.
Mr. Whitehorn was born the son of Tommie Elvis Whitehorn and Opal Adelia Hawkins on September 27, 1942 in Rector, Arkansas. Ted completed high school and obtained his G.E.D. and shortly after enlisted in the United States Army and National Guard. He retired as First Sgt. And shortly after began a career with Syncro in Arab, Alabama employed as their trusty maintenance supervisor later retiring his position to focus on life smallest pleasures. Throughout his retirement, Ted loved to go camping and traveling as well as woodworking. In his earlier years; Ted liked to hunt and fish. He was a well respected member and deacon of the Sweet Home Baptist Church
Mr. Whitehorn will be forever remembered by his beloved wife of 59 years; Linda Sue Vaughn Whitehorn; son, Terry Whitehorn Sr. (Carrie); daughters Tammy Selby (Anthony) and Janina Curley (Steve); brother, Leon Whitehorn (Julee); 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parent; Mr. Whitehorn is at last reunited with his brother, Jimmie Whitehorn; sisters, Stella Whitehorn, Mary Bozark and Brenda McLeod; 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will take place at the Sweet Home Baptist Church on Monday – August 31, 2020 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will take place at the Sweet Home Baptist Church on Monday – August 31, 2020 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ryan Childers, Bro. Andy Brown and Bro. Tim Lynch, officiating.
Interment will follow services at the adjoining cemetery at the Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will include; Chad Fieger, T.j. Whitehorn , Daniel Dailey, Chris Selby, Jarrod Phillips , Rob Smith
