Bennie Ray Acreman

Mr. Bennie Ray Acreman of the Union Hill Community in Morgan County, Alabama; passed away at the age of 82 in the early hours of Wednesday – August 26, 2020 surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Acreman was born on August 25, 1938 to the late Louis Horace Acreman and Ersie Mae Bolling Acreman in Crenshaw County, Alabama. Mr. Acreman was a loving husband to his wife, Linda. He enjoyed his retirement after working in Logistics with the Redstone Arsenal for 23 years. He loved the outdoors as well as gardening, yard work, tending to his cows, feeding the birds and playing with his beloved dog, Sam. Bennie is also a retired Sgt. Major with the United States Army; he served abroad including the Vietnam War. More than anything, Mr. Acreman loved his family and the time he got to spend with them; he was a devoted father to his step-daughter, Natalie. Mr. Acreman attended the Alder Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Acreman will be forever remembered by his beloved wife of 24 years; Linda Camp Acreman; sons, Thomas Ray Acreman (Donna) and Christopher Ben Acreman (Claudia); daughters, Kristina Marie Whelpley (Ronald) and Natalie Christine Jacobson; brother, Terry Acreman (Sheila); sister, JoAnn Levevette (Billy) as well as 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
