We celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Marvia Loretta Randle Goodloe who peacefully transitioned into eternal life surrounded by her children, August 25, 2020. She was the mother to Ricardo Freeman Randle (Sharon), Cornell O’Bryant Randle (Vickie) and April Dawn Goodloe. She was grandmother of five and great grandmother of eight. She was loved within her large family and a host of friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents Jim & Edna Earle Randle Johnson and her paternal father, Odie Randle; her sister (Edna Louise Randle Dowling, and brother (Arthur “Charlie” Thomas Randle). She leaves to cherish her memory along with the children mention above two sisters; Zethelyn Randle Johnson (Charlie Jr.), Nepsie Johnson Arnold (Ronald, deceased), and brother, Robert Earl Randle (Frances). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Marvia Loretta Randle Goodloe was a graduate of Sterling High School Class of 1955, she also attended Tuskegee University. She retired from Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital where she worked as a Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (CT) after 38 years of service and Florence Clinic after 21 years of service.
Mrs. Marvia Loretta Randle Goodloe confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at a young age at First Missionary Baptist Church in Sheffield, AL. She later joined Armstead Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (C.M.E.). There she served as Chairman of the Steward Board, Recording Steward, Sunday School teacher, and Director of the Board of Christian Education. She diligently worked with the children of the church, directing Christmas and Easter programs and even performing plays. She served as Missionary President for eight years in the 5th Episcopal District, Huntsville District and Annual Conference and travelled extensively in that capacity. She was also a delegate to the General Conference of the C.M.E. Church and Quadrennial Assembly of the Missionary Society several times. She loved the Florence Bible Band where she was a dedicate and committed member and served as instructor for many years.
Mrs. Marvia Loretta Randle Goodloe lived a life of love. This love was shown in all her relationships, work and service, in her mentoring and leadership, and in her daily walk. This is the legacy of LOVE she leaves with us.
