Mr. Raymond Leon GauseMr. Raymond Leon Gause, age 84, of Arab, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Gause was born on May 18, 1936 in Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guards for over 13 years. Mr. and Mrs. Gause moved in 1983 to a horse farm located in Arab. He was passionate about riding horses however when his health started to fail him in 2003 he and Mrs. Gause moved into town where she still resides. Mr. Gause worked many years at NASA where he retired. After retirement Raymond went to work for SAIC, California branch out of Huntsville and later returned back to NASA as a consultant.
Mr. Gause is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janell Baxter Gause; son, Randall Kent (Wendy) Gause; daughter, Shari (Keith) Tice; grandchildren, Katie (John) Huffman, Rhett Henry Baxter Gause, Johnathan Trey Gause, Jonathan Kyle (Victoria) Tice & Ryan Christopher Tice; great grandchildren, Maggie Huffman & Annie Huffman.
Mr. Gause will be laid to rest at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. The family will announce services to be held in Oklahoma at a later date.
Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Martin Dugger Funeral Home is assisting the Gause family.
