Randall “Guitar” Clark Scott, age 66, life-long resident of Columbia sadly passed on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
Randall was born on September 12, 1953, to the late Boyd and Gladys Scott. From a young age, Randall was very musically inclined. By the age of 8, he became a multi-talented musician. Throughout his life his passion for music only increased, sharing his talents with others.
In his earlier adult years, he worked hard for his father’s business, Scott Trucking Company. Upon retiring from trucking, Randall decided to go to the Police Academy. After which he went on to protect and serve his community with the Columbia City Police Department and later the Maury County Sheriff’s Department.
Over the years, not only did he serve his community in the line of duty but he also invested himself through volunteering and raising money for good causes. Through Randall’s efforts, he came to know many people and many were lucky to have known him. He was compassionate, caring, and generous. He would go out of his way to help any person in need. Randall will always be remembered by his friends, family, and community for his selfless acts of kindness.
He is preceded in death by his son, Cameron Scott and his parents, and brother Clyde Scott.
Randall is survived by his loving wife: Freda Scott; daughter: Akira Renee Scott of Columbia; grandchildren: Addison and Khloe Smithson; brother: Ronnie (Bo) Scott; sister: Cathy (Tommy) Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
The Scott family will visit with friends and visitors on Monday, August 17, 2020, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The celebration of life of Randall Clark Scott will be Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. Reverend James Lungsford will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Faith at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be; Ken Eubank, Tommy Davis, Mike Pullen, Terry Greenway, Steven McCanless, Mike Floyd. Honorary pallbearers: Doug Jernigan, Wayne Hall, Steve Cates, Wayne Cates, and Wesley Roberts.
The family requests that all those attending visitation and services bring and wear a mask.
