Funeral service for Edith Viola Murks Collier, age 96, of Decatur, will be Tuesday, August 4, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Chesser officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Moore Cemetery, Lexington.
Mrs. Collier, who died Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Decatur Health and Rehab, was born March 29, 1924, in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Collier; son, Ken Collier; grandson, Chad Collier; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Reeves (Dale) of Decatur; four grandchildren, Ashley Reeves Stricklin of Decatur, Weston Reeves (Ivania) of Arizona, Missy Cottingham (Mark) of Hartselle, and Sandi Rowe of Decatur; five great-grandchildren, Landen Stricklin, Evan Stricklin, Taylor Vest, Spencer Cottingham, and Justin Collier; and two great-great-grandchildren, Olivia Vest and Charlotte Collier.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
