Mattie Lou Davis 80, of Prospect,TN died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at STRHS-Pulaski, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, September 14, 1939 in Elkton, TN, she was the daughter of Johnnie Wilson Yant and Mary Magdalene Hill Yant. She lived most of her life in the Elkton area. She loved her flowers and grand kids. She was a true homemaker, spending her time gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, tending to the small farm, and tending to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles W. “Sonny” Davis; daughter, Melissa Beth Davis; son, Charles Michael “Chuck” Davis; two brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by her sons, John T (Jamie) Davis, Ardmore, TN, Tim Davis, Conway Community, TN, and Joseph (Karen) Davis, Ardmore, TN; daughter, Amy Rebecca (Jason) Roberts, Lynnville, TN; sisters, Fannie Maddox, TN, and Barbara Gammon, TN; grandchildren, Matthew Davis, Tara (Chad) Sockwell, Brittany Davis, Cody Davis, Shelby Davis, Adam Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Jared Roberts, and Jedediah Roberts; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
