Glenn Parker Hargett, age 75, of Russellville, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at his residence. He was retired from the Franklin County Highway Department.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 02, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Mark McCullar officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Memory Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo & Mary (Benson) Hargett; and sister, Jewell Hargett Holcomb.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Darryl Hargett; daughter, Dana Hargett Hill (husband, Jason); grandchildren, Nicholas Hill, Lora Nix (husband, Andrew), Blake Hargett, Taylor Hargett (fiancé, Tracie Lancaster); great-grandchildren, Ollie Nix, Addie Nix; siblings, Linda Hughes, Jimmy Hargett, Jack Hargett, Brenda Bragwell; and several nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Darryl Hargett, Blake Hargett, Jason Hill, and Taylor Hargett. The honorary pallbearers will be Ken Bragwell and Nicholas Hill.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Burns Nursing Home, 3rd Floor Helen Keller; and to Hospice of North Alabama for the love and care of our family. Also a special thanks to Glenn’s sitters for your time and care spent with him.
