MORGAN COUNTY-On Friday, July 31 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Thursday, July 30 that has taken the life of one person:
“A two-vehicle crash at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, July 30, has claimed the life of a Lacey’s Spring woman.
Carmen Mealer Yates, 52, was killed when the 2002 she was driving struck a 1993 Ford F-250. Yates was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was airlifted from the scene for treatment. The crash occurred on Union Hill Road, one mile west of Morgan City.
Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.”
