University of North Alabama  FLORENCE – As students prepare to return to the University of North Alabama beginning Aug. 9, officials on campus have scheduled a virtual town hall in order to address some of the questions students and their families may have about the University’s return-to-campus plan. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Aug. 5 via Zoom and may be accessed at this link: https://una.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_TJSrs8aSf6sYzRRz8K7TQ. Participants will register when they click the link to join. Questions may be submitted in advance to admissions@una.edu.

“This is a great opportunity for students as well as their families to speak with representatives from several areas of campus about any lingering questions they may have regarding our ongoing health and safety protocols,” said UNA’s Director of Admissions Julie Taylor. “They can also address any last-minute questions they might have about financial aid and the student experience for the fall semester.”

Among the topics to be covered are:

  • Instructional plans,
  • Student experience,
  • Health, wellness, and safety,
  • Resources for success, and
  • Financial challenges and scholarships.

UNA announced its return-to-campus plan in early July. Members of the campus community have spent the past several months preparing for students’ return to face-to-face instruction while maintaining health and safety guidelines as directed by the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The full return-to-campus plan may be found here: www.una.edu/universitycommunications/covid19.
