James Paul Patt, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Loretto, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg and the Knights of Columbus Council 2246. Mr. Patt served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William F. and Frances Augustine Patt; one brother, William Patt; and three sisters, Grace Kress, Evelyn Kress, and Mildred Patt Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Kerstiens Patt of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Daniel J. Patt (Becky) of Lawrenceburg, TN; three daughters, Karen White (Scott), Kristy Whitehead (Korey), and Joan Hill (David), all of Lawrenceburg, TN; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; one brother, Thomas Patt of Cincinnati, OH; and one sister, Sarah Ann Pettus of Loretto, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Neal Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 29, 2020, with Father Joseph Mundakal officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with full military honors. Family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 220 Berger Street, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464.
