Clarence Edward SpurgeonClarence Edward Spurgeon passed away Sunday, July 26th, 2020, in Hohenwald, TN. He was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on April 5th, 1946 and was 74 years old.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Clarence served in the U.S. Army and fought in Vietnam. He was a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed fishing, Nascar, and watching Snapped on the ID channel.
The visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 Wednesday, July 29th at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 11:00am Thursday, July 30th in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
The burial with full military honors will follow in Giles Memory Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curry Odell and Ola Grooms Spurgeon, son, Bobby Cagle, grandson, Corey Cagle, brothers, Cecil Spurgeon, Jack Spurgeon, Emmitt Spurgeon, and Clyde Spurgeon, and sisters, Grace Grooms, Blanche Faulkner, and Sue Edwards.
