Mrs. Gladys Louise Brown, age 84 of Athens, AL passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Brown was born on December 12, 1935 in Athens, AL to Henry Calvin Abernathy and Florence Ethel Hardy Abernathy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brown, her parents and her brothers, Edward E. Abernathy, Thomas A. Abernathy, Jerry Abernathy and Lifford D. Abernathy.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons, Charles Anthony Brown (Cratie), Randy Allison Brown, Jeffery Lynn Brown (Tina) and Mason Kevin Brown (Pam); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Billy W. Abernathy of Ocala, FL, Ethel M. “Sis” Clark of Athens, AL, Dennis C. Abernathy of Glade Water, TX and many other family and friends.
Mrs. Brown enjoyed gardening and cooking.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3:00PM in the chapel with Steve Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Reunion Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Brown’s grandchildren.
