Kathleen Jones Thornton, age 94 of Athens, went to her heavenly home on Sunday July 26, 2020, at Limestone Health Facility.
The family will be holding a private graveside service, with interment at Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton was a member of First Presbyterian Church for many, many years. She was a very loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son Ed Thornton (Rita); daughter, Faye Bryson (Jim); and grandson, Army Sergeant Major Craig Gray.
Mrs. Thornton is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Thornton; parents, Charles and Amanda Jones; and her three brothers, C.R. Jones, Aaron Jones, and Ralph Jones.
