ATHENS-During this week’s Alabama League of Municipalities Conference in Montgomery, Athens Mayor Ronnie Marks, who served as League President, passed the gavel to 2020-2021 League President Mayor Leigh Dollar of Guntersville. Dollar is the 5th female president in the League’s 85-year history.
“Serving as League President provided me an opportunity to network with our legislators and share concerns Alabama cities face,” Marks said. “It also provided me an opportunity to discuss issues with other cities and learn from their struggles and successes and share ours as well.”
