SHEFFIELD-Due to a 42% increase in hospitalized Covid-19 patients in the last week, Helen Keller Hospital will be taking a more aggressive approach to protecting patients, employees and caregivers in their facility.

This spike has forced the hospital to limit access to one designated caregiver per patient for the duration of his/her stay. Helen Keller Hospital can no longer allow caregivers to leave, reenter the hospital or relieve another caregiver.

They are very aware of the hardship this places on families but the data cannot be ignored. Keller will  continue to encourage their hospital staff and this community to remain attentive to preventive measures. Social distancing, masking and hand-sanitizing can slow this disease down. Remain diligent.
